the 1967 war saw Israel emerging victorious over the combined allies of Egypt, Syria and Jordan. Israel was successful in decimating the air force of Egypt with a planned methodological attack. Israel still retains control of the Golan Heights, the West Bank, and Jerusalem. Of these three, the West Bank may be the most hotly contested region of all.
