Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is one of the trends that has posed numerous challenges for researchers. These networks consists of potentially thousands of tiny sensor nodes, functioning independently, some without access to renewable energy resources. Routing is seen as a major bottleneck in WSN.
People have always found newer efficient routing algorithms. The paper below discusses routing algorithm used by WSN, Sensor Protocols for Information via Negotiation (SPIN). This algorithm is a multi hop flat routing protocol and is data centric.
